  • We accept bank transfer. A 50% deposit is required to begin standard package projects, with the balance due upon project completion.  Packages can also be paid for in instalments (see service page), finished project will be delivered once final payment has been made.  For all promotional projects payment is required upon booking.

  • That’s exactly where our Historical Counsel service comes in.  This hourly consultation can help tackle areas where you’re feeling stuck or require extra help.  In addition, this service is useful for analysing documents, transcription, historical photography and record office visits.

  • We specialise in UK-based historical and genealogical research, with a particular strength in North East Wales and North West England.  We are also available to assist overseas clients in search of their British ancestry.

  • Yes, if you can provide at least the name and birth date of your birth parent, we can proceed with sensitivity and discretion.  Prioritising privacy and emotional care is integral.

  • We examine deeds, architectural plans, historical maps, and tax records to determine building dates and changes over time.  For example, a sudden jump in property tax can indicate when a structure first appeared.

  • The sources we search include but are not limited to, local archives, census records, historical societies, old directories, maps, and even where possible photographic and oral history accounts to piece together property narratives.

  • At minimum; names and approximate dates for grandparents for genealogical searches.  For historic home research address and any other additional details that may be helpful to research if available.

  • A.    Yes.  We use mostly primary sources, and secondary sources when appropriate, and all findings are fully referenced so you or others can verify and build on the work later.
